At its regular meeting on April 16, 2014, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for June 4, 2014 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Ordinance No. 05-2014, An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 22-2013 Providing for Adjustments to the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2014 and Revising Sums for Operating Expenses
This ordinance would amend the 2014 budget to appropriate funds for a sewer line project on East and West Broadway, several service and police department projects. The wastewater department has inspected the condition of the sanitary sewers along the length of East and West Broadway and determined that the piping is in poor condition. It makes financial sense to rehabilitate this pipe now prior to the upcoming paving process. The Village engineer Bird & Bull estimated the total cost of the project to be $276,000. As this project was not budgeted in the 2014 budget, an additional appropriation authorization is necessary from the wastewater capital outlay fund. The service and police departments also have items that were not included in the budget, but need to be financed in 2014. These items include LED street light bulbs, paving East Broadway from North Granger Street to East College Street, repair of North Prospect Street sidewalk, ADA compliant sidewalk ramps in Village Green, repaving Village Hall parking lot, bike path improvements, temporary evidence room locker, in-car video systems, flashlights, AED supplies, ADA compliant door and MARCS radio supplies.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
