At its regular meeting on November 4, 2015, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for November 18, 2015 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Ordinance No. 12-2015, An Ordinance to Amend Sections 1135.01 and 1169.02 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Granville, Ohio Pertaining to Zoning Definitions and Permitted and Conditional Uses in the Institutional District (Public Hearing Continued from November 4, 2015)
Currently, there is no specific provision within the Institutional District that expressly regulates solar energy uses. Smaller scaled solar energy related uses (rooftop units, small ground mounted units, etc.) only require zoning permit authorization, the same as any other zoning district in the Village. Larger solar energy production facilities are not specifically regulated within the Code. They have previously been classified as an “accessory use.” The proposed amendment would expressly define solar energy production facilities within the accessory use category of the Conditional Use section. This conditional use would require review and approval by the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals.
Ordinance No. 14-2015, An Ordinance to Make Appropriations for Current Expenses and Other Expenditures of the Village of Granville, State of Ohio, During the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2016
This ordinance would establish the appropriations for the Village operations and capital improvement projects for 2015.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
