The Granville Village Council has scheduled a public hearing to request public comment for October 16, 2013 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Ordinance No. 20-2013, An Ordinance Authorizing a Petition to the Licking County Commissioners for a Change of Township Lines Pursuant to Section 503.07 for the Ohio Revised CodThis Ordinance would transfer thirteen parcels annexed as part of the 2007 annexation of 514 acres into the Village that are currently in Union Township into Granville Township. This transfer would allow for the conformation of boundaries in order to clarify boundaries between the incorporated and unincorporated areas in anticipation of an upcoming Union Township fire levy. Union Township Trustees have proposed to reconform township borders to allow for the appropriate support of fire operations. A petition would be filed with the Licking County Commissioners, who need to approve any redrawing of township lines. This conformation process was initiated by the Licking County Prosecutor.
This legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
