VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE NOTICE OF APPEAL HEARINGS
At its regular meeting on May 2, 2012, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for June 6, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Appeal of Decision by Granville Board of Zoning and Building Appeals To Appeal Application #2012-34, for a Variance for a Lot-Split by Terra Nova LLC for 198 Welsh Hills Road
At its regular meeting on May 16, 2012, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for June 20, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Appeal of Decision by Granville Planning Commission To Appeal Application #2012-32, for a Six-Foot Wooden Fence Submitted by Barbara Franks and Dan Rogers for a Property at 121 South Prospect Street
According to Section 1137.01(i) of the Codified Ordinances of the Village, these appeal hearings are “open to the public,” but it are “not public hearings.” The only individuals permitted to speak at the appeal hearings are those individuals who are actual “parties” to the appeal. The appeal hearing may not be fully concluded on the night of the hearing and may have to be extended to a later date. Following the conclusion of the hearing, the Council must announce its decision not later than the next regularly scheduled meeting. Within forty-five days, the Council must formalize its decision in writing including the decision findings and the conclusions of fact.
