Public Hearing - Council Meeting - January 19, 2011

At its regular meeting on January 5, 2011, the Granville Village Council scheduled a public hearing and request for public comment for January 19, 2011 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:

Ordinance No. 01-11, An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 22-2010 to Provide for Adjustments to the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2011 and to Revising Sums for Operating Expenses Related to the Opera House Park Improvement Fund 

This ordinance would amend the 2011 annual budget to establish a new Opera House Park Improvement fund.  This fund is being established due to accept the donation received by the Village from the Hubert and Oese Robinson Foundation which was being donated specifically for the beautification of the Opera House Park.

Ordinance No. 02-11, An Ordinance to Amend Section 1162.02 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Granville, Ohio Pertaining to Application for Demolition Permits 

This ordinance would amend the current language in Section 1162.02 which requires notice to be sent certified mail or by personal service to sending mail by certificate of mail or by personal service, the same at the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning and Building Appeal.  An additional language change is in regard to the fifteen days notice prior to a meeting and a submittal deadline of three weeks to the existing current deadlines of the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning and Building Appeal.  These amendments are to make the process for submittal to the Planning Commission consistent for all applications, in addition to consistency of public notices, and actions taken by both the Planning Commission and Village Council. 

Ordinance No. 03-11, An Ordinance to Amend Section 1143.04 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Granville, Ohio Pertaining to Application for the Review Procedure

This ordinance would amend the current language in Section 1162.02 which requires notice to be sent certified mail or by personal service to sending mail by certificate of mail or by personal service, the same at the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning and Building Appeal.  An additional language change is in regard to the ten days notice to adjoining property owners and a ten day notice in a newspaper of general circulation to a to the same submittal requirements that currently exist for the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning and Building Appeal.  These amendments are to make the process for submittal to the Planning Commission consistent for all applications, in addition to consistency of public notices, and actions taken by both the Planning Commission and Village Council.

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
