Public Hearings - Granville Planning Commission - April 12

The Village of Granville Planning Commission will hear the following applications at its meeting on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway:

Note:  The applications listed under New Business are “open to the public” but are “not public hearings.” The only individuals who are permitted to speak at this hearing are those individuals who are the actual “parties” to the matter. The following persons or their attorneys are considered to be parties: the applicant, the owner of the property that is the subject of the application, the owner of property that is adjacent or contiguous to that property that is the subject of the application, and any other person who claims that a direct, present injury or prejudice will occur to a personal property right if the application is approved or denied.

New Business:

Application #2010-28, submitted by New Phase Auto Detailing/Ramond Bonner, for the property located at 462 South Main Street.  The request is for review and approval of a sandwich board sign.  The property is zoned Community Service District (CSD).

Application #2010-30, submitted by John Klauder Landscaping/Ken Rittenhouse, on behalf ofSteve and Elizabeth Gaubert, for the property located at 317 East Maple Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval to remove an existing asphalt driveway and walkway and install new paver bricks on the driveway and a stepping stone walkway in the same location.  The property is zoned Suburban Residential District-B (SRD-B) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-33, submitted by William Hanes, on behalf of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, for the property located at 107 East Broadway, St. Luke's Episcopal Church.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the removal of wood shingles and replacement with Owens Corning Duration asphaltic shingles in Black Onyx. The property is zoned Village Square District (VSD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-34, submitted by William Hanes, on behalf of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, for the property located at 118 South Main Street, St. Luke's Parish Hall.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the installation of a security keypad on the left side of the northern park entry doorway. The property is zoned Village Square District (VSD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #09-157, AMENDED, submitted by Greg Ream for the property located at 121-127 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the installation of awnings over each of the business frontages and a modification to the doorway located at 121 East Broadway. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-35, submitted by Greg Ream for the property located at 121 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a thirty-eight and a half (38.5) square foot wall sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-36, submitted by Greg Ream for the property located at 123 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a thirty-three (33) square foot wall sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-37, submitted by Greg Ream for the property located at 125 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a nineteen (19) square foot wall sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-38, submitted by Greg Ream for the property located at 127 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a thirty-eight and a half (38.5) square foot wall sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-39, submitted by Greg Ream for the property located at 121-127 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the installation of black awnings over each of the three rear entry doorways. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-40, submitted by Russ Adams, Aaath Company, for the property located at 113 North Prospect Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the following items:
    1)    Replacement window, changing from a single pane 8-lite wood window to two double             hung vinyl windows with interior grids; and
    2)     Adding a granite seal to the front steps.
    The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-41, submitted by Russ Adams, Aaath Company, for the property located at 111 North Prospect Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a white storm door.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-42, submitted by Russ Adams, Aaath Company, for the property located at 109 North Prospect Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of changing the front window sill to a sloped window sill.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-43, submitted by Dana Landrum, Landrum Cottage, for the property located at 221 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a sixteen (16) square foot replacement wall sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-45, submitted by Mark Schillig, on behalf of Xue Gao, for the property located at 127 East Broadway.  The request is for review and approval of a Change of Use for 1,900 square feet of space from Category "B", Specialty Shops to Category "D", Food, Drug and Beverage Businesses, specifically for a Chinese Restaurant. The property is currently zoned Village Business District-B (VBD-B) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).
