NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

The Village of Granville Planning Commission will hear the following applications at its meeting on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway:

Note:  The applications listed under Old and New Business are "open to the public" but are "not public hearings." The only individuals who are permitted to speak at this hearing are those individuals who are the actual "parties" to the matter. The following persons or their attorneys are considered to be parties: the applicant, the owner of the property that is the subject of the application, the owner of property that is adjacent or contiguous to that property that is the subject of the application, and any other person who claims that a direct, present injury or prejudice will occur to a personal property right if the application is approved or denied.

Old Business:

Application #2010-43, submitted by Dana Landrum, Landrum Cottage, for the property located at 221 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a sixteen (16) square foot replacement wall sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

New Business:

Application #2010-47, submitted by Scott Walker, on behalf of Denison University, for the properties located at 200 and 300 Ebaugh Drive.  The request is for review and approval of two new maintenance buildings measuring 500 square feet and 896 square feet.  The property is zoned Institutional District (ID).

Application #2010-48, submitted by Maggie Barno, on behalf of the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce, for the property located at 125 East Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a 5.33 square foot window sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-49, submitted by Forrest Blake for the property located at 226 South Mulberry Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a rear second story addition, removal of third story dormer and reroof of entire structure to asphalt shingles. The property is zoned Village Residential District (VRD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-50, submitted by Barbara Franks for the property located at 119 1/2 South Prospect Street.  The request is for review and approval of Change of Use from Categories "B", Specialty Shops & "E", Retail Outlets to Category "D", Food, Drug and Beverage Businesses, specifically for a Mexican restaurant. The property is currently zoned Village Business District-B & E (VBD-B & E) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-51, submitted by Barbara Franks for the property located at 119 1/2 South Prospect Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of an eight (8) square foot freestanding tenant panel sign. The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-53, submitted by Rebecca Collen for the property located at 343 East Maple Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a six (6') foot wood, dog ear style, fence along the eastern side yard and a four (4') foot wood, picket fence along the rear yard. The property is zoned Suburban Residential District-B (SRD-B) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-54, submitted by Josh & Lauren Fisher for the property located at 332 East College Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the replacement of twenty (20) wood double hung, six pane windows with aluminum clad double hung, six pane windows in white. The property is zoned Village Residential District (VRD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-55, submitted by Russ Adams, Aaath Company, for the property located at 113 North Prospect Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of the following items:
1) Removal of wood sidelights on each side of the entry door and replacement with clear glass,             beveled sidelights on each side;
2) Replacement of exterior light fixtures on each side of entry door with brass light fixtures; and
3) Addition of an electrical outlet on the south side of the stairs.
The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).
