NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION


The Village of Granville Planning Commission will hear the following applications at its meeting on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway:

Note:  The applications listed under New Business are “open to the public” but are “not public hearings.” The only individuals who are permitted to speak at this hearing are those individuals who are the actual “parties” to the matter. The following persons or their attorneys are considered to be parties: the applicant, the owner of the property that is the subject of the application, the owner of property that is adjacent or contiguous to that property that is the subject of the application, and any other person who claims that a direct, present injury or prejudice will occur to a personal property right if the application is approved or denied.

New Business:

Application #2010-73, submitted by Philip and Charlene Ward, for the property located at 239 West Broadway.  The request is for architectural review and approval to replace the existing slate roof on the front of the home with Owens Corning asphaltic dimensional shingles in Estate Grey.  The property is zoned Village Residential District (VRD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-75, submitted by Ketron Custom Builders, on behalf of Jim and Jodi Schmidt, for the property located at 218 East Maple Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of remodeling of the front porch, putting in new posts, railing and flooring, and building a new stone retaining wall along the front sidewalk.  The property is zoned Village Residential District (VRD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-76, submitted by Greenlee Hilton Insurance for the property located at 115 North Prospect Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a window/door sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-77, submitted by Thomas Foster for the property located at 338 North Pearl Street.  The request is for architectural review and approval of a six (6') foot wood, board on board, fence in the rear yard.  The property is zoned Village Residential District (VRD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-78, submitted by Scott Walker, on behalf of Denison University, for the property located at 400 Ebaugh Road.  The request is for review and approval of the addition of athletic team rooms to the existing restroom facility.  The property is zoned Institutional District (ID).
