NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

The Village of Granville Planning Commission will hear the following applications at its meeting on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway:

Public Hearing:

Application #09-126, submitted by Terra Nova Partners, LLC. for the property located at 384 East Broadway.  The applicant is requesting a zoning amendment within the Village Business District zoning classification which would expand the existing Conditional Use section "E. Single family residential" to read "E. Single family, two-family and multi-family residential uses."  If the proposed amendment is approved, two-family and multi-family residential uses would be permitted as Conditional Uses within the Village Business District (VBD).  This property located at 384 East Broadway is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD), however, the requested zoning amendment would affect all properties within the Village Business District (VBD) zoning category.  Any person wishing to testify regarding this application will be permitted to do so.

New Business:

Note:  The applications listed under New Business are “open to the public” but are “not public hearings.” The only individuals who are permitted to speak at this hearing are those individuals who are the actual “parties” to the matter. The following persons or their attorneys are considered to be parties: the applicant, the owner of the property that is the subject of the application, the owner of property that is adjacent or contiguous to that property that is the subject of the application, and any other person who claims that a direct, present injury or prejudice will occur to a personal property right if the application is approved or denied.

Application #2010-135, submitted by Mark Clapsadle, on behalf of Eva Montgomery, for the property located at 425 South Main Street.  The request is for review and approval of a platform, handicap ramp and stairs surrounding the building, and as a result of elevating the structure above the base flood elevation.  The property is zoned Community Service District (CSD) and is located in the Transportation Corridor Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-137, submitted by Charlie Dutton, The Sport Shop, for the property located at 119 (Rear) East Elm Street. The request is for architectural review and approval of a 3 square foot freestanding tenant panel sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-138, submitted by Charlie Dutton, The Sport Shop, for the property located at 119 (Rear) East Elm Street. The request is for architectural review and approval of a 5.25 square foot sidewalk sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-139, submitted by Charlie Dutton, The Sport Shop, for the property located at 119 (Rear) East Elm Street. The request is for architectural review and approval of a 5.25 square foot window sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2010-140, submitted by Landrum Cottage for the property located at 221 East Broadway. The request is for architectural review and approval of a 6.25 square foot wall sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).
 
Application #2010-141, submitted by Landrum Cottage for the property located at 221 East Broadway. The request is for architectural review and approval of a 16 square foot wall sign.  The property is zoned Village Business District (VBD) and is located in the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).
