RESOLUTION NO. 05-58
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE LEVY FOR THE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH AND RECOVERY BOARD OF LICKING AND KNOX COUNTIES.
WHEREAS, the Community Mental Health and Recovery Board of Licking and Knox Counties (“Board”) has launched a “KEEP CARING” Levy Campaign; and
WHEREAS, the levy will allow the Board and its providers to increase access to mental health and drug/alcohol treatment and prevention services for an expanding population; and
WHEREAS, the Board currently has a 1.0 mill property tax levy, which will expire in December of 2005; and
WHEREAS, the levy on the November 8, 2005, ballot is a replacement levy, and thus maintains the same millage that was passed in 1995 and that is currently in effect; and
WHEREAS, ninety-four cents ($.94) of every one dollar ($1.00) is used to provide direct services for consumers; and
WHEREAS, all money raised in Licking County will fund programs only for Licking County residents.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF GRANVILLE, OHIO, that:
Section I. The Council for the Village of Granville hereby supports the levy for the Community Mental Health and Recovery Board of Licking and Knox Counties.
Section II. This Resolution shall become effective from and after the earliest period provided by law.
