RESOLUTION NO. 05-63

 

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACTING VILLAGE MANAGER TO

ENTER INTO THE COOPERATIVE USE AGREEMENT AND THE CULTURAL FACILITY CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND FUNDING AGREEMENT.

 

WHEREAS, the Treasurer of the State of Ohio has issued Cultural and Sports Capital Facilities Bonds, Series 2005A, for the purpose of providing moneys to pay the costs of acquiring, constructing, reconstructing, rehabilitation, renovating, enlarging and otherwise improving, equipping and furnishing capital facilities, which are Ohio cultural facilities; and

 

WHEREAS, the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission (“Commission”) is authorized to engage in and provide for development, performance and presentation or making available culture in the State of Ohio and the provision of training or education in culture; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Granville and the Commission wish to provide for the addition of a catering kitchen, ADA restrooms, ADA ramp and an office to improve the operation of the Bryn Du Mansion, together with the surrounding premises on which the Bryn Du Mansion is located; and

 

WHEREAS, the 126th General Assembly of the State of Ohio in H.B. 16 appropriated two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to the Commission to finance all or a portion of the costs of the Bryn Du Mansion improvement project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Granville hereby desires to enter into the Cooperative Use Agreement, attached herein Exhibit “A”, and the Cultural Facility Construction Administration and Funding Agreement, attached herein as Exhibit “B”, in order for the Commission to finance all or a portion of the costs of the Bryn Du Mansion improvement project.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF GRANVILLE, OHIO, that:

 

Section I. The Acting Village Manager is authorized to enter into the Cooperative Use Agreement, attached herein as Exhibit “A”, and the Cultural Facility Construction and Administration and Funding Agreement, attached herein as Exhibit “B”, with the State of Ohio in order to facilitate the operation of the Bryn Du Mansion through the addition of a catering kitchen, ADA restrooms, ADA ramp and an office.

 

Section II. This Resolution shall become effective from and after the earliest period provided by law.
