2025 Downtown Signalization Project
CURRENT PROJECT STATUS as of 8/14/2025:
All intersections are OPEN!
The majority of the hardscape (i.e. bricks, concrete) has been installed.
Plantings and electrical work are in progress and will continue through this month.
Keep in mind that while progress is evident, the project is still in-progress. Pedestrian crossing signals, push-button activators, enhanced lighting, and pavement markings - which are crucial to the proper function of each intersection and crosswalk -are not able to be finalized until the new traffic signals are installed.
Temporary pedestrian crosswalk signals are in place at the midblock crossing.
The new Smart Signals and mast arms have an expected install date of early December 2025 due to the 10-week delay on top of the 25-week shipping estimate provided by the ODOT contractor upon ordering.
